On Tuesday, April 28th, $5 COVER AMPLIFIED, twelve intimate documentaries exploring the lives and passions of the musicians in $5 COVER, will have its premiere at 7:00 pm. Directed by Alan Spearman of The Commercial Appeal and NOBODY, the short films feature everything from singer/songwriter Amy LaVere taking target practice in Texas and rapper Al Kapone giving life lessons to his son AJ, to a sunset motorcycle ride with Lucero's Ben Nichols through Arkansas and a puppet-driven lesson in love and biology from Harlan T. Bobo.
Tickets for the Monday and Tuesday screenings are $5 each, benefiting Indie Memphis, and will be available at the Studio on the Square beginning at 3:00 pm the day of the screening. (Unfortunately, we are not able to accept credit cards, but there is an ATM in the lobby if you need one.)
