Call-For-Entries open for 12th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival, October 8-15

Indie Memphis has opened the Call-For-Entries for its 12th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival, set for October 8 - 15, 2009.

The festival highlights regional filmmaking from all corners of the country, while continuing its twelve-year tradition of showcasing Southern films and filmmakers. Feature films, documentaries and short films completed after December 2007, and which will not have been publicly screened in Memphis prior to the 2009 festival dates, are eligible to submit.

Deadlines and Entry Fees

Earlybird Deadline: April 1 - $30 for features / $20 for shorts

Regular Deadline: May 15 - $40 for features / $30 for shorts

Late Deadline: June 15 - $50 for features / $40 for shorts

($5 discount for student filmmakers - Proof of student status required.)

Local Production Waiver

Filmmakers that shot at least 50% of their film in Memphis or Shelby County,

Tennessee may take a waiver on their first submission to the festival.
